EVM - Introduction to EVM Basic Concepts - 14 PDUs

Course is designed to give participants a basic understanding of Earned Value Management (EVM) and its relationship to Program Management. You will learn how to implement EVM and successfully transfer the new knowledge/skills to your job.
Upon completion of this course, graduates will be able to apply forward looking performance to:

  • Explain EVM Concepts
  • Organize, plan, perform, analyze and report program work
  • Enable early problem identification and resolution
  • Project future cost and schedule performance

*Pre-requisite: It is encouraged participants have a basic understanding of Project Management concepts prior to attending the class

EVM - Advanced Planning, Analysis, and Reporting - 21 PDUs

Building on the Introductory course, this course is designed to give participants a comprehensive understanding of how Earned Value Management (EVM) is implemented. You will gain insight into the application of EVM on programs and projects and successfully transfer the new knowledge/skills to your job.
Upon completion of this course, graduates will be able to apply EVM to:

  • Programs and projects
  • Develop EVM processes to pre/post investment decision activities
  • Organize, plan, perform, analyze, and report at both the program and control account level
  • Achieve program objectives: technical, schedule, and cost

*Pre-requisite: It is encouraged participants complete KMSG PM 101 and/or equivalent EVM work exposure prior to attending the class

Integrated Baseline Reviews (IBRs) - 14 PDUs

PM 103*


The purpose of the IBR is to confirm that the full scope of the project has been accounted for and to provide a baseline that is clear to all stakeholders and to achieve agreement among all of the stakeholders that the project scope is completely accounted for. Course is designed to give participants a basic understanding of the Integrated Baseline Review (IBR) process and its relationship to Program Management. Participants will learn the framework to prepare and conduct an IBR.
Upon completion of this course, graduates will be able to:

  • Describe what an IBR is, legacy practices, trends, and requirements
  • Describe the purpose and value of the IBR process and its relationship to program management during project execution
  • Describe program and contract level IBRs
  • Conduct control account manager interview

*Pre-requisite: It is encouraged participants complete KMSG PM 102 and/or equivalent direct EVM work experience prior to attending the class
